2. When a Trump or anyone else makes the statement "Obama is the worst---"
Why are they not asked for some evidence?
The MSM is turning our political world into a circus by letting insane unsubstantiated comments go unchallenged.
We do not have the worst president in history, we have the worst media!

5. Randi Rhodes made a brilliant point the other day about NBC having a stake in Donald.
He's a media mogul now, and has a lot of friends who sit in CEO chairs. They need to "trump" up Donald Trump. They have to in order to stay relevant. His show is on NBC. He makes all these appearances on NBC morning shows, besides the obvious Faux.

3. An excellent point.
Sometimes the most best rebukes to arguments are the most obvious, which is why many of us miss them.

7. Because if the GOP takes the Senate and holds the House, the WH will be irrelevant
I'm guessing the GOP bigwigs have their eye on the Congressional Prize of taking the Senate and holding the House -- which is a distinct possibility.

They will put up a sacrificial lamb to run for president, but the real stakes in 2012 will be Congress.

8. I think we already lost the Senate. We need MORE progressives at the state and local levels.
Edited on Fri Apr-22-11 09:43 AM by Liberal_Stalwart71
And I will continue to repeat this fact until I'm BLUE in the face and until it sinks.

The president cannot do anything with Blue Dog/Corporatists in the Democratic Party in BOTH chambers. I know you like to blame him, but let's be realistic. Much of the blowback he got were from members of the Democratic Party who helped the Republicans in their recalcitrance. Bill Clinton faced similar. The Republicans were the known enemy, but he had more problems with fellow Democrats than anything.

We need MORE progressives in government, not less!

9. I don't disagree --
Despite what youy might think, my own personal concerns are much larger than President Obama. I like him but I am also disappointed and frustrated that he has not taken a stronger role in supporting progressive/liberal positions....But that's beside the point.

I think the GOP realizes that their chances of unseating Obama are slim...And the smarter GOP presidential hopefuls realize that, and are waiting in the wings until 2016.

In the meantime, though, they do stand a good chance of taking back the Senate. I think that, and the state and local races are where they are focused. And if they successful, it'll be "Katy Bar the Door."
