While I agree that there are some who will never believe what has obviously always been the complete and unambiguous truth, this step might allow Obama to say that he went far beyond anything that should have been needed.

I know this won't stop the birther nuts, but it might pull away some dumb, uniformed RW radio listeners, who bought the he must be hiding something nonsense.

The sad truth is that we have yet to really find a way to handle the RW echo chamber's alternative reality. Their huge chunk of mass media allows them to validate each other's lies.
