I blame people like Chris Matthews and Anderson Cooper as much as I blame birthers
Why continue to try to debunk something that's idiotic in the first place? Why give so much airtime to a subject that rational people ignore?

Now on Youtube it's vids trying to prove the certificate is fake. This will never stop, so why try to stop it in the first place?

2. Bout time we blame the media instead of the victim
but there will always be some that slam the victim rather than the REAL culprits.

and look where it got him. Ridicule is an effective weapon in the fight against this idiocy.

7. Hear hear. Trump has been exposed for the scammer he is.
This may not impress ignoramouses but it supports those of us who believe in the truth and those people with common sense who might have had some doubt.

:sarcasm:

Guess Obama is seen a master at exposing the media and people with agendas while others are seen as poster children for not fighting back, even though they took the high road like Obama.

8. Yep. Let's blame ONLY Kerry and let the REAL culprits off the hook
He released all of his Navy records and gave a speech to the Firefighters Convention that the media refuse to cover, but people wanted him to choke Bush and Rove I guess.

18. Ann Richards didn't fight the lesbian rumors

And lost the Governors race to George W. Bush. Karl Rove started this kind of crap. It used to start
as a whisper campaign. Now they just send out the loudmouth freaks to do the job.

5. Tweety is an idiot...
I find it particularly irritating that he seems obligated to interrupt immediately after asking a question. He's not as bright as he thinks he is, and his rudeness is a pathetic sign of his insecurity.

9. Who forces any of you posters to watch them?
I'm not defending them, anymore than I am defending your rights to your own opinions.

Just asking, when there are so many alternatives available on TV and the internet, bright people, wonderful reading, there's no reason to watch what you don't like.

None at all. My opinion.

11. I completely disagree ...
You dont ignore these idiots when they have the floor - You pound on them, again and again ...

And they had the floor ..... They do not anymore ....

I also blame them, but not because they didnt shut up, but because they didn't do their job to investigate and tell the truth ....

This silly farce went on for years ... Your approach to place your head in the sand is kinda chickenshit, and certainly unproductive ...

I hardly call choosing who I listen to and what I read as "head in the sand ... kinda chickenshit"

Just because Fox News has so many foolish idiots on, I don't see the need to watch or listen and I doubt you do either, unless you're a masochist who likes to beat your brains out listening to foolishness and lies. There's a lot better out there than Fox News, as you must know, and there's a lot better out there than those names above.

The less people listen and watch them, the sooner that the better, more engaging presenters and writers will rise, as did Rachel Maddow and Keith O. Or are you going to blame them, too?

Empty barrels make the most noise, but that's all they do.

16. Matthews has been fantastic
He cuts off the empty talking points and poses simple questions they aren't prepared to answer.

Go to a balanced forum. The right wing posters despise Matthews right now and feel threatened by him. They mock Maddow and basically dismiss her.

17. Because everybody saw
what happened with the swiftboaters who turned a hero into a fraud. I understand the temptation to ignore nonsense but when it's not nonsense to a growing percentage of people, you need to fight back. Kerry didn't and lost. President Obama is smarter than that.

in trying to debunk, they kept the story going and going and going.

Chuck Todd couldn't let it go this AM - talking to a STATE senator in Alabama who was more concerned with tornadoes

26. It's one thing to debunk them
It's another to give them a platform to spew their nonsense.

If I were Matthews or any other member of the media, I'd state the facts and then never invite another one of these twits on the show again. Any of them. Ever. Period.

It's time to put them all on ignore and stop talking about it. These people are an embarrassment to our country.

Enough is enough.
