Trump may have shot himself in the foot
<...>startling new research has revealed Mr Trump's reality TV show , Celebrity Apprentice, is mainly watched by Democrats - and not Republicans as previously thought.

Previously it was thought in some quarters that Mr Trump's will-he, won't-he presidential posturing was simply a publicity stunt to boost ratings for the show.

But new evidence from The Atlantic shows audiences for the flamboyant billionaire's prime time programme are down on the same time last year.

The new research would suggest the show's mostly liberal audience are tuning out as Mr Trump continues his increasingly isolated views on the President's academic record.

Will Feltus, the senior vice president for research at National Media, said: 'I was surprised to find that the 'Celebrity Apprentice' was so liberal, because the audience for 'Survivor' is fairly Republican.

'It's a weird show because it's not a regular TV series. But based on MRI ratings, it is clearly a Democratic audience.'

Celebrity Apprentice viewership skews very liberal:

3. Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics? Looks like a lot of BS. In my experience, the more liberal you
are, the less tv you watch. I doubt reality programming is much of a hit with the politically active of the Democrats.

different strokes for different folks. I watch TV, all sorts of programs and so do plenty of Democrats.

-- is where Palin is today, with GOP unfavorables 2x his favorables, and for the non-insane, reduced to the answer to a triva question, and an object of snark on Rumproast (the Saudi Arabia of Snark), but nothing more.

There are a lot of isotopes coming out of Fukushima with longer half-lives than Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

26. Me too but I don't care for the "celebrity" editions.
I liked it when "real" (for lack of a better term) people were on and could get an actual career positon out of it.

10. More Democrats watch COPS?
I can see The Simpsons and Family Guy, since those shows have a liberal tilt. However, I'd think more Republicans would watch COPS. You know, to see their family members on the teevee and all...

20. There is to me two different types of cop shows.
The one where they go in gang busters on everything like Cops. And Law and Order. Except when the scumbag Thompson is part of the cast.

I totally despise the first and do enjoy the latter especially with Goren. Also, the NCIS ones. But the CIS NY and Miami I don't care for but will watch sometimes. While I watch LV more.

13. Big Bang is right wing?
I haven't seen it much. But the times I have, I didn't notice any right wing bias. Was I missing something?

15. The theory is that the audience leans right...
I did have to explain to a DUer once that Big Bang did not have explosions and violence, so maybe the tile is off putting....

There are very few comedy shows on TV that make me laugh out loud. Big Bang Theory is one and 30 Rock is the other.

23. The program that skews farthest to the Repug side?
ABC Saturday Night NCAA Football

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it tells me that there are a whole buncha repugs who have nothing better to do on a Saturday night - certainly nothing that involves getting out of the house, such as going on a date.

28. 2 things stand out.
1. all the news shows listed (20/20, 60 minutes) are on the Democratic side). Which explains a lot.

2. why are so many Democrats watching Cops? I'm quite surprised that it doesn't skew towards Republicans.
