So, the one man who is most responsible for getting Obana and many of the Democrats elected to |
|
begin with, Howard Dean, gets thrown under the bus, while people like Joe Lieberman, who actively campaigned for McCain, gets held out as a person we should listen to when it comes to health care reform.
This is just getting to strange for me. And now Obama is using GWB scare tactics saying that the gov't will go broke if the POS bill is not passed immediately.
Something bad wrong here. It smells. I don't like it. I am taking notes.

1. It was bad enough when Dean didn't get a post... |
|
..or even an advisory position in the administration at all. Same thing with Krugman. That made me raise an eyebrow but as an enthusiastic Obama supporter and campaigner I let it go and trusted.
No more. I'm done. This is pathetic.

2. Oh, stop with the stupid "thrown under the bus" metaphor. |
|
There is no bus. There are only opinions, attitudes ... and high emotion.

9. Yes I do. I also remember that nasty things happened under the Clinton administration for Social |
|
benifieries. The age limits were increased and the formulas were changed on who was to recieve it.
I have always found it sort of odd that the Republicans talk mean about these social programs, but it seems that these programs are most negatively effected when Democrats get in their.
I would suspect that Medicare and Social Serurity is next on the chopping block. Your point is well taken.

But it is extremely important to the insurance industry that this bill (or something like it) passes. Here's why: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Laelth/39">California will probably pass single-payer on its own in 2011. :dem: -Laelth

10. No doubt about it, it's a team effort. But in my opinion, Dean, with his 50 state stratagy, |
|
something that the Democrats were not even considering at the time, made all of the difference in the world.

probably before the bill takes effect.
We have time to make a stand with no compromises. Lets drag it through a election primary and see what happens.

He has not ruled it out, that says it all to me. I love Obama but he should kick him out of his chairmanship.

16. Dean was in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM responsible for getting Obama elected. |
|
None at all. He was responsible for getting alot of other Dems, but absolutely not the President. That honor goes to David Plouffe (along with Obama and Axelrod).

19. Plouffe and Axelrod copied their entire campaign strategy from Dean's 2003-04 run |
|
The only reason they could go further with it, is BECAUSE of Howard Dean's 50 state strategy. And the fact that Obama was not under constant attack from the DLC, as Dean was during his campaign.

O. should be taking some notes of his own. But no, he's dissing the guy who knows how to get things done.
Dean's "irrelevant"? Ha! If so, then O.'s a figment of his own imagination.
