omg..the Faux focus group is LOVING Herman Cain
Edited on Mon May-09-11 06:19 AM by Laura PourMeADrink
caught exactly 30 seconds of the "debate"

but I saw the focus group who are LOVING this guy

from his website: http://www.hermancain.com/

About Herman Cain: My Story

I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia by loving and hardworking parents. We grew up poor, but we grew up happy. Things weren’t always easy, but my mom and dad knew that if they kept their faith in God, faith in themselves and their faith in the greatest country in the world, they, too, could achieve their American Dream.

1. this is like when they picked Michael Steele for RNC. They think "look we have a black guy too, and
he talks bad about Goverment. We love him."

13. To be perfectly honest, Cain has a more polished delivery
than Steele. Steele came across as running his mouth a mile a minute with not much gravitas.

21. He's a lot smarter and much more accomplished than Steele
too. But that's not saying much.

2. I have not seen the debate yet, but I've seen him speak...
.... and I was impressed (lol NOT from a policy standpoint, but from a "ability to speak like he has a brain, unlike the rest of his party" standpoint.)

Tonight we went from the odds of TWO African American men running against one another in the general election being BEYOND negative 0 to .... maybe, it could happen....

3. The Republicans are desperate for a minority. ANY minority. SOMEONE...
Someone to go against Obama. (They, sadly, think Obama won because he's Af. American.)

My brother, who lives in La., is hoping Gov. Bobby Jindal will be able to run for Prez one day....he's smart, he's a good guv, and he's Indian, a minority! my bro said with enthusiasm. (I had to inform my poor brother that after Jindal's response to the State of the Union that time, that he doesn't have a chance any time soon.)

19. actually, from what I read, many pedophiles beg to be castrated. But
Edited on Fri May-06-11 01:56 PM by Laura PourMeADrink
forced castration is a bit too hitler-esque to me. Like what if the person
ends up being innocent.

16. According to Republican eligibility rules
Jindal can never be eligible to run for the presidency because both his parents were immigrants (not U.S. citizens) when Jindal was born. Same goes for Nikki Haley in South Carolina.

15. What else would one expect?
Repubs judge people by appearances, the outside personna. While Dems judge by brains and empathy, the inside personna.

They try so hard to be cool, that they pick candidates that they think will make them "look cool" like the guy that picks a car by how many women he thinks he'll be able to pick up.

24. This would be their third replacement for Obama: Keyes, Steele and now Cain.

Puts me in mind of the idea by one of the son's of Gov Pappy O'Donnel in O' Brother, Where Art Thou?.

"We could hire our own midget, even shorter than his."

Come to think of it, I do believe that all three Republicans cited have darker skin than Obama.

Who will the racists support? The black guy who gets things done, or the black guy who sounds like a nutcase?
I hope their heads explode.

Succesful businessmen usually make shitty politicians.

I don't need to buy a pizza from this guy, I need him to understand waaaaay more than that.

27. I kinda think this thread is insulting.
He can be black and republican and a compelling speaker and very intelligent and completely wrong.

What I am saying is they aren't all carbon copies.

He is not Michael Steele.

He very well could win over lots of votes from republicans and democrats. It is possible with our economy being in such a mess.
There are a lot of desperate people out there who are looking for something new.
