How should I run a GOP primary betting pool?
As a presidential election junkie, I really want to run a GOP primary betting pool in my office, but I'm not sure how to best make it fun/interesting. The only betting pools I've ever participated in have been single-answer pools (like betting on Obama's electoral college count) or brackets (NCAA, World Cup, etc.). What I'd like to do in a GOP primary pool is have people bet on multiple factors: obvious ones (eventual nominee; primary date on which s/he locks up the nomination; first candidate to drop out after Iowa; last non-nominee candidate to hang on) and maybe some fun ones (first candidate to "accidentally" refer to president as "Osama").

So I guess I'm looking for two kinds of suggestions:
1) Other things to bet on
2) How to weight scoring system to keep it both fair and interesting

Ideas?

1. How about this?
Half the pool ticket sales will go to the democratic party.

During each debate you could bet on:

The first participant to refer to Obama as Barak Hussein Obama.
The first participant to mention 9/11
" " to family values
etc...

4. To add:
3.)The first participant to refer to President Obama as a "socialist"
4.) " to talk about Obama "palling" around with Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Right, Common, et. al
5.) " to mention the phrase "Obamacare", "government takeover of the health care industry", or "death panel (Palin would be so proud)".
6.) " (to have the guts) to accuse President Obama of being "weak on terror".

That's about all I can think about now. I would say that maybe you could add something about his birth certificate but, frankly, I think that issue is deader than a doornail except for the lunatic fringe now and maybe the first participant to completely flip-flop on all of their previous positions on issues but I think that Romney's pretty much already done that (in spades) and Pawlenty seems to be working on it.

6. Or
the first participant to be *accidentally* labeled (by Fox News) as a Democrat
