The crowd lined the small main street 15 deep. American flags fluttered from light posts and windows. Kids sat on their father's shoulders as the typical Irish weather veered from wind-whipped hail to bright sun and back again.

"He held my hand, he pulled me towards him and kissed my check," said Anne Maher, 50, a teacher. "I'm not gonna wash that cheek for a lifetime.
And my husband isn't getting near it either."

When the rain returned, Obama ducked into a small store recently set up to sell Obama paraphernalia like T-shirts saying "What's The Craic, Barack?"

Then Obama went into Ollie Hayes' pub, where he stood in a corner of the dark bar shaking hands with a small group and posing for "family pictures."

BTW, "craic" is Gaelic for fun gossip. Oh, and a bumper sticker hanging on the wall of Ollie Hayes' pub in Moneygall reads, "Obama Abu!" That's "Obama Forever!" in Gaelic. I couldn't have said it better.

1. Sweet story.
I don't know who was having more fun, the President or the Irish people. I love watching the clips and seeing pics.

5. From "The Matchmaker" --
Sarah Kelly: You should come to the dance, Marcy, come and have a bit o' craic.

Marcy Tizard: Crack?

Sarah Kelly: Yah, it's brilliant craic.

Marcy Tizard: By crack I'm assuming that you don't mean incredibly hard drugs.

Sarah Kelly: Oh no! It just means havin' a laugh, like havin' a bit o' fun!
