2. Just look at all that devastation! Most of the photos I see

are not as brightly lit--and soemhow the lighting in these pics makes the totality of the destruction seem even more devastating.

The sweeping destruction reminds me of the pictures of areas in Japan that were turned into piles of matchsticks by the tsunami.
