"The Dow closed off its lows of the day but still shed nearly 270 points, closing down 2.7 percent at 9,870.30. The Dow is now down 9 percent for the quarter. As bad as the day was, the Dow managed to avoid its June low. Nevertheless, all 30 Dow components closed in the red. Dow component Alcoa, the aluminum giant, is the worst Dow performer year-to-date. The Dow is now down 2.6 percent for the month and 5.4 percent for the year."
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/economy-watch/2010/06/stocks_dive_at_opening_on_glob.htmlSame thing happened last year..but this year with an election in process.. it will be 24/7 on the panic button.
That does not mean that we should not be concerned about jobs etc.. or that we should not be working 24/7 on these issues..
But I will be hanged if I will let Palin, Romney and crew so mess my head that I will let those cretins slip back in office.
