Barack Obama Beating GOP Rivals In Their Own States
Posted by Mark on June 16, 2011 at 11:00 am.

As the 2012 campaign season continues to roll out, here’s something you won’t hear in much of the mainstream media:

The people who know these Republican candidates best prefer President Obama. These senators, governors, and congressmen served for years representing their constituents, yet those constituents were apparently not impressed.

Other Republican who have been the subject of speculation (Chris Christie of New Jersey, Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich of Georgia, Sarah Palin of Alaska, and Rick Perry of Texas) are also notably unpopular at home. The same is true for GOP governors (Rick Scott of Florida, John Kasich of Ohio, Scott Walker of Wisconsin, and more) for whom voters in their states are experiencing buyer’s remorse.

The rest of the nation should take this into account as the campaigns proceed.

4. Yes, none of the Republicans really make any sense to home state voters...
But, I'd hardly say Romney is from Mass. He's from Michigan, or Utah, or New Hampshire, or.....

Romney is such a farce. I think we have to look at him in 4 or more states.

5. Funny anecdote.
A few weeks ago there was a similar poll. On one of the Con sites someone had come to a fascinating conclusion. I don't remember the exact numbers, so this is a take on their math skills using this poll.

Santorum: 35%
Romney: 35%
Pawlenty: 40%
Bachmann: 35%

Obama: 50%

Now, this is where I get a bit confused, but they came up with about 60% in favor of the GOP candidate because somehow the numbers become entangled when you factor in Independents (they really do assume that all Independents are teapers). At the time, it gave me a headache trying to decipher the math. Now, it's just kind of sad...and funny. Even sadder/funnier...the folks that were supporting the math.

I know. I promise to one day update my sig to include the disclaimer that: I cannot do Google or any other search from my crap work computer, so I am unable to provide links to back my shit up. Y'all just gotta trust me.

8. They Were Expendable
Only those who are willing to throw themselves under the GOP's bus will be allowed to run in the GOP primary... and of course, those who are completely and utterly STUPID and unelectable (Bachman, Palin, etc.) but who believe their own hype.
