1. Yep. Talked over Jonathan Turley and the Steelworkers Union guy. |
|
Accused the union guy of producing "a lot of hot air"when he said we needed a jobs bill, and that billionaires did not create jobs.
The Tea Party guy was a real rude son of a bitch.

4. That guy was more full of crap than just about anybody |
|
I've seen on TV in awhile. Rude, too, kept yelling over the union guy.
He's the guy who founded the Tea Party Nation organization and he's a total horse's ass. Went on and on, loudly and rudely, ranting the teabagger talking point about how we shouldn't tax the "job creators." Insisted that the Bush tax cuts created jobs and that in fact there was full employment in the U.S. until Obama ruined everything. An asshole, and seriously fact-challenged as well.

10. They kind of remind me of the hard-core soviet Marxists |
|
who believed absolutely in their dogma notwithstanding incontrovertible evidence that their version of communism had created a miserable, impoverished and dysfunctional society. It's like they were thinking, "Yeah, it kind of sucks now, but just wait, we have to keep doing more of what we're doing and we'll achieve the perfect workers' paradise." Similarly, the teabaggers insist that the only reason the economy is in the toilet is that taxes haven't been cut enough and, notwithstanding years of evidence to the contrary, if taxes are cut even more everybody will have jobs and we'll all be rich and live happily ever after.
If you are a true believer facts are not important - only ideology.

12. I thought Ed put him on to show the American people |
|
exactly the mentality they were dealing with when it comes to the Tea Party group. I assumed Ed thinks we have the right to show. The really interesting thing was watching Jonathan Alter and (I am sorry, I can't think of his name) the official from the Steelworkers working in sync to discredit every stupid thing Phillips said. I mean really, it was a thing of beauty -- who would have ever thought Jonathan Alter would be vocally marching in step with the Steelworkers Union to beat up on a Tea Party rep. I thought it was great.

|
He literally screamed down the union guy, who is not a wimp by any means. And he did so with lies. Ed should have put a stop to it.
