if there's a default because he's sticking to Democratic principles.

1. Yes, he does. He may have the idea, considering his fund-raising. |

yelling at Cantor, saying he's going to put his Presidency on the line for this and playing hardball and what not. I'm loving it. Better late than never.

8. My criticisms of OBAMA have always been about |
|
him not standing and fighting the repubs. A switch seems to have gone off with him and that bodes well. Same thing happened with Clinton and the govt shutdown. We had a new Clinton after that.

5. I sent an email of encouragement to the Whitehouse. |

I don't know if it will actually mean anything to anyone, but I thought it couldn't hurt.

Uh, but what is he fighting for? Sure, if he fights for me and mine, then I've got his back. If he's fighting for some grand bargain that means slashing Social Security and Medicare than nope, I don't. Which means I don't support his suggested veto of raising the debt ceiling because if we lose our AAA rating, interest rates on the debt will go up and it will be a ridiculously bad snowball effect.

If he rams massive spending cuts down our throat, particuarly to social safety net programs, he can go screw.

16. I send emails frequently. |
|
Not just to Pres. Obama, but to several politicians. Not sure if they ever get read (although, I did get a return email from Sen. McCain once), but I hope. I actually send more emails of "thanks" than any other. I figure those are the emails they get the fewest of. Everyone needs some positive feedback occasionally.
I couldn't begin to know the situation he's in. I'm not privvy to all of the details, I don't have to sit there and listen to Cantor throw tantrums, I don't have a country to run. I have a hard enough time balancing work, freelance, a husband and 5 critters. Yes, I have his back. 100%.
