Trump: Republicans Should Reject Any Debt Ceiling Deal To Ensure Obama Isn’t Re-Elected

Trump proposes that the GOP time debt ceiling votes and possibly let the country default all to sabotage Obama’s re-election chances. Such an amazingly reckless notion is not only playing games with the debt ceiling — it demonstrates a willingness to let the economy fail and millions of Americans suffer for political gain.

Trump is willing to gamble with the U.S. economy and bet that if the country defaults, Obama will take the blame and be remembered by history as the culprit. As host Brian Kilmead pointed out, that’s far from a sure thing. A series of polls show that the vast majority of Americans disapprove of how the Republicans have handled the debt ceiling situation and would put most of the blame at their feet if the country defaults.

5. That's What I Thought
The Republicans are perfectly happy to let us default to ensure President Obama's defeat. For a while I thought their scam was to demand such concessions on spending cuts that it would worsen the recession, and/or that Obama would lose his core supporters. Now I realize that anytime Obama comes to them with a deal, they will move the goal posts.

They want us to default. There's a wide range of reasons, from personal profit to political gain, maybe a few who really think the bitter medicine in the short term will be beneficial in the long run.

As C-3PO says "we're doomed."

2. This is a bond bubble in the making...
S&P is eager to downgrade T-bills.

Wall Street is not spooked - interest rates haven't moved much.

Trump and other money people are pushing for default.

By mentioning SS cuts, Obama made a tacit indication to Wall Street that we'd be good for our debt to them.

By defaulting, interest rates would go up and the bond bonanza begins - knowing full well we'd be good for it.

3. Thanks Trump
now if and when there is a default and the Pubs try to blame the Dems, all we need to do is just remind people of comments like this.

4. Obama's Failure is the Goal Here
Sadly, the idiots will take the country down just to ensure he fails. They may be surprised that he survives after all the destruction they caused. Their open antagonism towards him will only serve to unify Democrats.
