Panetta ain't Secretary of Entitlements

And because of his statements here today, I'm going to note his participation in the group that decided that Federal Employees should be forced to go to Iraq.

The man is not a genius. He doesn't even seem to know which department he's running.

:banghead:

The recommendation asserts federal agencies involved in war and reconstruction should order employees to work in Iraq. Currently, many civilian workers from federal agencies are working in Iraq, but they are all volunteers.

The study group suggests if agencies cannot recruit enough volunteers for war zone assignments, they should be allowed to order civilian workers to combat zones. The study group did not offer many details on the worker “draft.”

4. Who cares. The republicans put him out there to get this
stand off/show down started between the military and the big 3. To get both sides all riled up and in the end the revenue is mostly going to come from the rich and a little more from the military. Some think he MAY cut from the providers side of medicaid, forcing some hospitals to close. I don't know about that one. Medicaid has been a problem in health care for a long time. I'll wait and see on that one.

3. This came up in '05 and the SoD response has remained the same. Not new.
Sucks, but if you suck on the federal tit, it sucks, and you go with it or go somewhere else.
