GOP Less Popular Than the Clap

by BooMan

Public Policy Polling and CNN/Opinion Research both find that the Republicans hurt themselves much worse in the polls during the debt ceiling fight than they hurt the Democrats or the president. Of course, politics is not a game of winning polling battles in August of an off-year. In the bigger picture, the Republicans are making progress in their quest to murder the federal government in Grover Norquist's bathtub. They're also making the president look ineffectual. It would be nice if we had some good news from Wisconsin tonight. That would provide some hope that the people are in a mood to punish the Republicans severely for their bad behavior. That's what we need tonight, and that's what we need next year.

2. GOP elected officials last, at least, two years!

But for the emergence of resistant strains, garden variety gonorrhea can be treated in less time than that.

7. At least you can cure the clap.
A few doses of penicillin and you're done. Too bad getting rid of the Repugs is not so easy.

8. But still they manage to win elections
No one likes them, somehow they still pull off victory after victory. When the hell are we going to do something about those damned voting machines?

Edited on Wed Aug-10-11 09:04 AM by SwampG8r
much higher excitement level than politics
i doubt most politicians could be more interesting than the clap
if you had a dr tell you you had the clap and then got an email from al gore saying he was dropping by for dinner
all people would want to hear is about the clap part
everyone perks up when you say "heres some news...i got the clap"
not so much with "al gore is coming over tonight"
say both of those things to your most intimate friends and see which one they want to talk about first

ETA: something happened when i put this up only half of it went up and it was out of context
if you read this before the edit i apologize for any missing bits
