Here is the last ditch Republican effort to win in 2012...

Third-party effort aims to transform 2012 race
Americans Elect hopes to open nominating process to voters disenchanted with two-party impasse

Are you fed up with stale, two-party electoral warfare? How about a do-it-yourself presidential nominee?
A group called Americans Elect aims to put its candidate on the ballot in 2012, but it’s a movement apparently without any economic, foreign policy or social agenda and with no charismatic contenders so far.

Dividing us is their only hope.

They cannot win outright.

Please, do not fall victim to this ploy.

One more little tidbit, just in case you think this might be a good idea:

One of the advisors to the group, investor Lynn Forrester de Rothschild, has donated $5,000 to Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman’s political action committee.

Rothschild is a PUMA with a vendetta. She is out to take Obama down using any means necessary, including her big pile of money.

1. United we the 99% stand; Divided we fall
Our best hope is to take over the Dem party

If we start a 3rd party, the Repubs will win

If you don't believe me, look at the history of 3rd party attempts. Bill Clinton benefitted from Ross Perot; George W benefitted from Nader.

5. We need to make sure that Sarah Palin gets nominated...

...or maybe Ron Paul. That's the way to fight this shit, turn it back on the right wing.

7. I do not feel we have any representative
political party in the US.

Democrats today remind me of Eisenhower Republicans.
Republicans are merely rabid.

I voted for Obama before and will again.

Lesser of 2 evils.

Solves nothing, but slows the political entropy.

10. Mark McKinnon is the head of No Labels, or at least he's always introduced on TV as
having something to do with that group. There is only one supposed Dem. mentioned on that Americans Elect site. It's mostly Repubs. and known Obama-haters. I hope nobody falls for this.

11. Huntsman might have stood a decent chance had never met the likes of Ms. de Rothschild.

He sank even further after her endorsement. God, I hope she runs him as an independent. I think he'd pull the PUMA vote from Obama, but more from Romney. Just what America's clamoring for, another rich self involved wench with too much money, and a desire for revenge. She and Mark Penn are the 1%. :puke:

12. I don't think even us pissed-off Obama critics would go to this third party.
I know I won't. I'll still vote for Obama, even though I'm in a red state (KY). Because voting matters.

14. Umm..last ditch?
There is no reason to believe with the economy as crappy as it is that the Republicans can't win outright? Where is this delusion that Obama is in such a fantastic position come from? He even says himself he is the underdog, and it is very likely even if we squeak out a win that the GOP will take the Senate.

And yes, I agree ofcourse, 3rd party voting is stupid. The President will need all of our votes in order to win. Actually he will need us all to bring additional voters to the polls to vote for him as well.

15. The "Third Way" and "No Labels" are pro-corporate organizations.
They are NOT Ross Perot. Perot was critical of trade and tax policy that favored the wealthy and increased the national debt/trade deficit.

The Third Way and No Labels are for "free" trade and lower corporate taxes as well as less regulation.
