Take that Obama!
I am fed up and ashamed; fed up with the constant bashing you get and ashamed of myself for not standing up for you more often and more passionately. So today I signed up to donate $10 a month (I spend more than that in a week on shitty fast food) from now until the election. It's not much, and there may be more if this race looks close, but I hope it helps you beat whichever crazy ass republican gets nominated. I got your back, Mr. President, I'm in!

If you're fed up and ashamed too, donate here:

1. Thanks for the link
I just read some of the ludicrous goalpost moving and other random gripes on Obama removing all US troops from Iraq by Xmas, and decided I'd donate again.

3. I can't afford to donate every time some disgrunt posts something negative
about our president but I will donate more to make sure this man gets another term to keep more promises (and if I can piss off a basher in the process...two birds).

2. On Real Time tonight Bill Maher pointed out that Obama has had some kick ass foreign
policy and that was because the Republicans cannot obstruct it. What would the rest of the Obama agenda have looked like without the GOP obstruction at every turn. So true.

I've been on a monthly donation cycle since the beginning. I will donate more, too, once the war against Republicans begins in earnest next year.

8. Good on you, Mortos...
I hope many others will follow suit. I will, as finances permit. Fed up here, too. Amazing how one human being can stand up to so much punishment. He's been taking it with grace and good humor since day one. I admire him enormously. SG

12. So do I
He is an amazing man. Maybe, just maybe, Americans will start to recognize it too. Never before has a man done so much for his country and been credited with so little. One former right winger wrote that if a republican had completed as many foreign policy accomplishments as President Obama has, people would be clamoring for his face to be put on Mount Rushmore. Instead, we hear that foreign policy doesn't mean shit because of the economy, which the republicans have openly admitted they are willing to destroy to keep President Obama from being re-elected.

13. I feel no shame in speaking out for my principles, which happen
to be more liberal than Obama's.

I agree with much of his platform and I remember it where he has forgotten it.
And so do lots of liberals, which is why OWS is not demonstrating for Obama, even though in the strictly political logic of say Barnie Franks it should be.

But then Franks is a politician and most Americans and all of OWSers aren't. We are just Americans who want the fairness and justice we have bee promised by the Constitution.

23. That's her prerogative.
Mine is to ignore and throw in the garbage all requests from the DNC and Obama's campaign. I now only give to the local candidates who I know personally.

18. Already done! Monthly contributor here. But everytime I read a post...
saying they won't be contributing this time, I make an extra donation, if I can. Hope it helps to blunt the anti Obama campaign here! :bounce:
