Osama's Mansion Abbottabad Pakistan off of Karakoram Hwy, between Hospital Rd. and College Rd. it's |
|
the largest compound, don't know the address, but google earth shows it as a large compound of land and buildings. If you key in Abbottabad Pakistan, College Rd into google earth, I believe this is the area where the firefight took place. This is just a guess, but this looks like the area. Looks like he was living high on the hog in his final years. I know almost nothing about. I love Mortenson. The sequel to Three Cups of Tea, Stones Into Schools, which Mortenson wrote without the original co-author, was the BETTER book, I thought.
If I didn't have children and grand-children here in the USA, after reading those books, I'd have packed up and gone to teach where people want a teacher!

and how it finally led to the capture of bin Laden. This is the great un-said of what happened. You can't hide someone in a place like that without the full knowledge of the uncivilian part of the Pakistani government.
Thank you President Obama.
