Is this a satellite photo of Bin Laden's compound?
The http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/05/02/following-the-reaction-to-bin-ladens-death/?src=twt&twt=thelede#burial-at-sea-followed-saudi-refusal-to-accept-remains">New York Times Blog writes:

Mr. Hairan also noted that a reporter for Pakistan’s Geo News said that the raid had been conducted “at a spot in Abbottabad about 800 yards from the Pakistan Military Academy.” The BBC reports that the academy, known as PMA or Kakul, is “the country’s equivalent of West Point.”

So I went to google Earth and plopped in "Kakul Pakistan," then I used the built in "ruler" to measure places around 800 yards from the military academy, I came up with this:

The compound I found, which is almost exactly 800 yards away, is inset in the upper right of the image (I failed to be able to make a nice border to distinguish it). It's circled in the larger image in red.

Try it out yourself, it certainly matches the description that I've read about it.

1. What better location from which to train
young men than being next door to the military academy. That was the first thing I thought when I heard of where he was found. The Pakistani government has been so complicit in this.

2. I completely agree. There's no way they didn't know. True, he had hundreds of millions of dollars...
...and could buy anyone he wanted to, but it had to have gone deep (even if that photo isn't correct the reports about its location are certainly mindnumbing).

3. BTW, here's that facebook page that corroborates the entire story:
http://www.facebook.com/PMAkakul

And people were doubting the veracity of events. Look at all the commentators there. They all must be making shit up!
