Will we bring our troops...AND contractors home?
What will they come home to?
Will there be a public works project like after WW 2?
What will happen to the businesses who live off war?

I see to the homeles vets...a lot of whom were left behind by a grateful nation. Will the jobs be there for the activated National Guard when they return? Will the help be there for those involved in the constent battle that has described these wars for a decade? What is the next page in history going to look like for these vets and their families?

3. I suspect nothing changes...
The general premise that got us into Afghanistan was that it was a broken state. It's not really on its feet. Our plan is to bug out before it actually becomes a stable state...at the point that it can 'handle its own security.'

I'd argue that due to the religious and tribal aspects of that country's internal conflict that may never be possible. Our timeline is to be 'out' in two years...and I bet we leave it in something of an unresolved mess.

4. Why do you think anything will change? This isn't WWII, where countries were
'defeated' and treaties were signed. Everything: the use of 'terrorists' to strike fear, the occupations of the ME, the war profiteers, and the pouring of hundreds of billions of dollars into war, will continue.

5. Context
Why we're there and why we'll stay there: no job is finished until obstacles are removed and a pipeline is Fait accompli?

Here at home? Nothing much changes.
