First gold, now fish

It doesn’t seem that long ago that investors were wowed with the novel opportunity of investing in an exchange-traded fund that held gold. Now, along comes fish.

The Global X Fishing Industry ETF, which debuted on Wednesday, holds stocks of publicly traded companies that are involved in various aspects of seafood – from farming it and processing it, to marketing it and selling it – and is seen as another way for investors to jump into the whole commodities/agribusiness theme.

1. Between the lingering pollution in the Gulf, and the radiation floating off Japan's coast,
I'm not touching seafood, much less investing in it.

4. Collasping fisheries worldwide. No shock here.
So long as folks are dumb enough to eat it...just another commodity that we can trade the well-being of our planet in on for cash.
