3. Just after the next mysterious explosion at the Fukushima complex, is my guess. |
|
There are other things but that's not a bad example. I don't think it's going to be in the headlines all that long unless there are new revelations.

4. Well, given the potential trove of intelligence.... |
|
I'm guessing it won't totally disappear as a story for several weeks at least. And then emerge again in late summer as we move towards September's 10 year commemoration.

Barring that, I can't really think of anything that would knock it out of the news, unless it's terrorism or Libya related, maybe.

6. After Sunday, the coverage will go down. The Republicans are |

doing their best to minimize Obama's role.

If the changing stories start to hurt they'll kill it. Otherwise it will last until they have something better to put in the news.

Edited on Thu May-05-11 09:23 PM by KurtNYC
this coming Sunday night Obama is announcing that he has also been working on the cure for cancer in his spare time but he accidentally created a pill that cures everything. Whoops. Sorry insurance industry.
then 2 weeks out he's got a new fuel system that is cheap, infinite and reverses global warming. The more you drive the nicer the weather gets. Philanthropic environmentalists will buy a Hummer, fuel it up with this stuff and leave it idling in the driveway.
3 weeks from now we'll all be amazed when he accidentally reveals that Obama can both fly AND see through walls (wait til you hear the REAL story on how he found bin Laden). Obama is at a news conference about the collapse of the health insurance industry in the wake of his cure-all pill and then he sees a young woman being robbed in the parking garage 2 buildings away with his x-ray vision so he flies out the roof and stops the crime, inadvertently revealing his superpowers... which takes us to
week 4 -- well the BC thing comes back due to the whole "hey the President can fly and see through walls" thing.
Week 5 -- Obama wins back all of the debt held by China in a highstakes mahjohg game plus they will owe us $1.5 tril
week 6 -- is where things get REALLY crazy. I don't want to spoil the surprise.

over the course of the summer. That would be good.

shout out to Watergate buffs out there :)
Why, just yesterday, al Arabiya published a story that bin Laden's 12-year-old daugerht said she saw her father executed while he was in the custody of U.S. forces.
Just out of curiosity, have Brennan or Carney been asked about that story yet?

I've been wondering the same thing myself. I'm sure lots of stuff is flying under the radar while everyone's attention is diverted. But I guess it's inevitable that people are going to spend some time cheering the demise of the Boogeyman.
A new one will pop up to take his place.
