Overheard today at the library...

I work in a library and while patrons are waiting in line many watch CNN that we have on. A patron was in line and I overheard her comment to no one in particular "I don't believe {OBL} is really dead and I won't until I see proof. I mean, Obama keeps lying about his birth certificate, this is just to distract us."

It took every single ounce of will power to keep my mouth tightly closed and not hand her a roll of tin foil for a new hat. And here I thought I was safe from the most insane of the Repugnants at a library...

But only because I arranged it so that I wouldn't have to serve her (I just slowed down a fraction so that she would end up with my coworker). I didn't think I could keep my trap shut if I had to speak directly to her!

7. We are an "Information resource Center"

We have a news channel on all day, quietly so it can only be heard while at the circ desk or if you check out the wireless headphones (which nobody ever does....1000 bucks wasted). We also have 50+ computers, a teen room with a PS3, a Wii, and Super Nintendo.


Oh did I mention that this is a federal library? Your tax bucks at work! Give the military families all this stuff, but we MUST defund planned parenthood to fix our budget!!!

nothing to do with intelligence and/or being at the library, there is that percentage that is the above and they think with a primitive portion of their brain. And it's useless to talk to them, it's an incurable disease.

17. I had some friends in Denver, their next door neighbors that used to be quite

nice started going down to Colorado Springs to Focus on the Family and became real assholes and very very creepy. It's like an incurable disease. They do go to the dark side and never come back.
