Anyone watching the Daily Show?

Their doing a story on a Methodist church in Virgina allowing Muslims to use a room for prayers, I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of organized religion, but if all religions could cooperate like this things would be a lot better.

I'm not sure how the bible would view it, but I think it's very generous.

5. I think there is a place for church

in the 21st century... as a community support sysytem and meeting place... if people would just understand history and mythology and take the time to know where the story comes from... tall order, I know!

room for discussion... many non-profits are tax-exempt... churches as businesses (and make no mistake, they are BIG Business!) need to pay taxes

Mega-churches are big business for sure, smaller churches I'm not so sure about. I do think we should tax the organizations, if not the individual churches. Believe me, I'm for taxing the Southern Baptist Convention to death, I have major issues with them. Also, the Catholic diocese should probably be taxed, if not the individual parishes which can be small. 12. I have serious doubts about the role of religion in recent wars.

Granted it is a tool used to manipulate people into war, but the root causes go far beyond religion.
