I didn't know that there existed a British journalist named Michael Savage
I was looking up the website of The Times (the London newspaper) and found this headline: "Clegg humiliated as Lib Dems battered", authored by Times political correspondent Michael Savage (no not the far-right American talk radio host). The article began,

Nick Clegg has suffered a humiliating defeat in local elections across Britain, with voters handing the Liberal Democrats their worst ever showing in a result that saw them all but wiped out in some major northern cities. Lib Dems saw their vote collapse and lost control...

In the UK, Michael Savage reports about the troubles of the Liberal Democratic Party. In the US, Michael Savage thinks he's so tough that he will rant about how liberals ruin everything they touch any opportunity he thinks fit.

Our Michael Savage (whose real name is Michael Weiner) is an insult to people really named Michael Savage, such as this journalist (even if The Times is owned by the same company that runs Fox News), a Canadian Member of Parliament in Nova Scotia (and member of the Liberal Party), the singer of the band Pigmy Love Circus, and the first Labour Party PM of New Zealand.

Unfortunately, The Times now charges money for its content, but older articles (for example Brian Deer's articles about Andrew Wakefield) are still free. At least The New York Times allows unregistered web users to read 20 articles free per month, and even that filter is easily evaded by clearing HTTP cookies from your web browser.

Oh, for those of you still interested in the actual story, here's an article from The Guardian: "Liberal Democrats vent fury at David Cameron as party suffers election rout"
