After reading thread about Brad Blog.... |
|
I tried connecting to it. I didn't have it on my bookmarked list, so googled it, and was sent to it. I bookmarked it, then went back to bookmark list, tried to click on bradblog.com. It did not go through. Word Press said "Error....you must have misspelled....etc.." Went again to Google, clicked on bradblog - blocked again. Why could I get through once, then not again. I know I have linked to it from various articles in the past. This is very disturbing. I use Safari browser through Yahoo mail.

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at mysql.ctyme.com. This could mean your host's database server is down.

10. Fer Gawd's sakes... I have NO association with Bradblog ... |
|
In fact I think you could count on two hands the number of times I've gone to his site. But, I was curious about the AOL thing as well as the Wisconsin reporting.
So, if you are going to indiscriminately accuse another DUer of doing something nefarious or questionable again, I would highly recommend you THINK TWICE.

9. Bradblog was mistakenly flagged as a phishing site by one of the anti-phishing services. |
|
Edited on Fri May-06-11 01:29 PM by drm604
This may have been due to someone maliciously filing a false report.
Since then, some of the DNS services have been blocking it due to it being on a list of phishing sites. The problem was corrected and they were removed from the list but some providers may still have an older copy of the list. This was likely also the cause of their recent issues with AOL email.
At the moment I can get on it with no problem.

13. OK. now Brad Blog is working. |
|
I linked to it through a thread here, then bookmarked it again. The new bookmark worked every time, plus my original bookmark worked. Weird.
