Car that runs on nothing but water unveiled in Japan...
Car that runs on nothing but water unveiled in Japan. No gasoline, no battery recharging and no emissions.
Posted by PC Latest news, World news Saturday, March 26th, 2011

Japanese company Genepax presents its eco-friendly car that runs on nothing but water. The car has an energy generator that extracts hydrogen from water that is poured into the car’s tank. The generator then releases electrons that produce electric power to run the car. The electric powered car can run on any type of water (you can even use tea and soda…etc). The car can run for an hour at about 50 miles per hour on just a liter of water; about 2 cans of soda worth. Genepax, the company that invented the technology, aims to collaborate with Japanese manufacturers to mass produce it.

Unlike other electric cars, the Genepax car does not require that batteries be recharged and has no emission. The water electrical generator is located in the back of the car and when water is poured it is then broken down in order to create electricity to power the car. Imagine what such a generator could do to the oil industry, the nuclear plants and the electrical grid.

1. Uh huh.
I'll wait for the Supreme Court to revoke the laws of thermodynamics before I get too excited.

2. I did a search for Genepax and found this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water-fuelled_car

There is a paragraph about them in it. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this. I probably wouldn't hold my breath for anything though. It doesn't really make much sense to hold ones breath while waiting for things. It's like "Yeah, I'll take a cheese burger with fries please. I'll hold my breath while you go get it." Who does that? That makes no sense. Breath, my friends. Breath the wonderful air.

4. I believe this is a hoax perpetuated by this company in the past.
So far, they haven't produced any evidence that they have a car that "runs on water".

8. I saw video of cars propelled by water in Japan
They only get a few miles per tsunami. Steering is problematic. Safety ratings are low. Not recommended.

14. Ah, another water-powered car

Clearly, I'll need to enlarge my garage to house this beauty.

And, don't forget the fuel line magnets to get another 10% out of that water.

I'm waiting for the homeopathic combustion engine. It runs on water that remembers it had gasoline in it.

25. Been following this for 3 years ... saw the video
look at different sites, read reports and I must say.

Smells like BULLSHIT. The science doesn't add up

They won't allow independent tests until they do
we can still hope that solutions will be found to the internal combustion engine.

These look promising.

26. Very cool but this is old news
http://www.waterfuelcell.org/

From the front page of the website:

"The goal of this web site is to explain the science behind Stanley Meyers water fuel cell. As a group we will study his theory, patents, and related information. The objective will be to replicate the water fuel cell. The completion of our work will be proof to the world of the validity of the water fuel cell.

The atomic make up of water makes the molecule perfect for a fuel source. The water molecule is composed of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. When the water molecule is separated into its component atoms (H and O) and oxidized as fuel, the resulting energy is two and one half times more powerful than gasoline. The byproduct of the combustion is water vapor. Making water as a fuel, powerful and pollution free!

The problem has always been how to separate water economically. Traditional methods of separating the bond of the water molecule have resulted in failure. To power a car by these methods would not move the car very far. The car?s electrical system could not recharge from the process quickly enough. The result would be a quickly drained battery. For many years Stanley Meyer researched this problem and found a way around it!

There are many people, as you could well imagine, who would not like to see this technology appear in the market place."
