I went to Waukesha WI today
Edited on Tue May-10-11 07:38 PM by Pharaoh
To observe the recount

I observed that the favor was towards Prosser in the votes I saw counted

I talked with a Lawyer from the Kloppenburg side, we discussed the missing ballots and whether there were actual paper ballots backing up those electronic votes, he was whispering to me with his lips covered by a clipboard, "Shhhhhhhhh...., the walls have ears", but he also told me he was not clear on that yet and they have issues with the opened sealed bags that held the ballots, we discussed the fact of the windows 98 computer the Waukesha County clerk used for those (extra) votes. He said there was an investigation by GAB,............... I'm like, but really there has to be a Federal investigation because GAB is controlled by Walker. He agreed, said it was happening behind the scenes. But we were both whispering,........

3. Well, please definitely PM me if you do!
I'll buy you a coffee or a drink. Did you get a chance to talk to any of the folks on the board? They're all awesome and I will miss them when it's over. The attorney Bill who you spoke with is a volunteer and he's been there almost every day, too. We have a great group of Waukesha County Democrats. :) Will you be at the state convention in a few weeks?

5. The GAB investigation is going on behind the scenes or are there feds behind the scenes?
Might be a dumb question, but I had to ask, given that Kloppenberg did send a letter to DOJ, if I recall correctly.

10. I just wanted a clarification on this part of your OP...
I'm like, but really there has to be a Federal investigation because GAB is controlled by Walker. He agreed, said it was happening behind the scenes.

Did you mean there might be federal investigators present?

but no concrete news is coming out.

I did not feel he was saying there were feds in the room.

But were certainly lots of Republicans!

EXCLUSIVE: CITY OF BROOKFIELD BALLOT BAGS FOUND 'WIDE OPEN' IN WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI

Chain of custody violations continue to emerge, particularly in Waukesha, during state Supreme Court election 'recount'
ALSO: $25,000 reward offered for evidence of WI election tampering...

Five out of six bags of ballots from first batch to be counted out of the City of Brookfield in Waukesha County, WI today, were discovered "almost wide open" during Day 8 of the statewide Supreme Court election "recount". The bags were open and unsealed, according to both photographic evidence and an eye-witnesses account from the counting room. (Many more exclusive photos posted below.)

"When the ballot bags were taken out and placed upon the counting table, we were literally stunned," one of the citizen observers, Mary Magnuson, a Kloppenburg volunteer, told The BRAD BLOG this morning. "5 out of the 6 ballot bags were almost literally wide open, and ballots could be clearly seen."

The ballots in those bags were among the 14,000 said to have been cast in the April 5th election, but left off of Waukesha County's tally as reported to the media on Election Night...

Also the only county still counting and with huge questions about the windows 98 machine where the (extra) vote miraculously showed up 2 days after the election.

not much in the media so I had to go. Still I am a bit baffled......

11. Windows 98 OS? Geesh -- That is almost Windows 3.1
Then what version of Access or any other Office software?

Back to her using Access to tally the data. That really doesn't make any sense unless it was to create reports.

If she was such an IT expert then why was she using software from the dark ages?

15. Mysterious it is,
Bordering on melodramatic.

You knew something might be up by how loudly the 'Thugs protested, "we don't NEED a recount, no, no, NOOOOOO!" I think they initially said the vote total was too far outside the .05 percent margin to be worth the effort, then they wailed and gnashed their teeth about the unnecessary burden to the taxpayers. They're continuing to kick the toes of their shoes into the dirt, going "aw shucks, nothing strange has been uncovered. Nothing serious. .....Nothing to see here. ......Move along."

But in the real world, ballots are being re-counted one ward at a time, in super slow motion. (By comparison, the Milwaukee recount was completed accurately doing 10 or 12 wards at a time.)

...And at the same time, the wilder conspiracy theories haven't been addressed. There's still the possibility that the whole thing might just be the Mother of all Red Herrings. A deliberately staged, carefully planned distraction.

"You want a recount? Here, we'll give you a recount."

Keeping the focus where the Republicans have actually always had full control. Where they want it to stay.

...But only a very, very few people would know that. While everyone else is sweating it out, ballot bag by ballot bag.

16. Why would the Federal Investigation be behind the scenes?
Are they hiding from the State Republicans?

And why did you have to whisper? What are the Republicans going to do if they hear you?

17. how many votes are in question now?
if you dissallow/disenfranchise 6 bags of votes that's at most 2500 ballots.

assuming we can challenge successfully another 6 bags worth of votes that makes 5000 ballots.

that only makes about a 2500 difference. where are the other 4500 votes going to come from?

we are going to have to NUKE an entire city! :D

Prosser might be better off acquiescing all the challenges in Waukesha so Walker is not faced with appointing him temporarily to the vacancy if this drags on.
