A serious question about the "5-21" crowd... |
The going in assumption is that we're all going to laugh on May 22, and they're all going to either feel like idiots and slink away and rationalize why their calculations were off. There'd is however, a third possibility: that they believe that 1) the rapture DID happen (it's a big planet); they weren't invited along for the ride; and consequently 3) they're doomed to Hell and waiting for the end to come in October. I wonder what sort of reaction there's going to be if any of the "faithful" fall into this category.

1. I plan to go out of my way to claim that I knew some who were raptured... |
And ask the nutbags why they were left behind to eat shit in hell with Liberals like me.

5. I've been saying that they will claim it did happen and we |
will hear all kinds of tales of people ascending into the sky. It'll all be bullshit of course, but that won't stop them.
As you said, though, the bright spot is that anyone left behind won't be a "true" Christian. So have some fun telling any fundie you meet that they are going to hell because they weren't raptured.
