Poll question: Which could make a crisis worse??
Edited on Fri May-13-11 09:45 AM by boston bean
A. The sky is falling kind of person

B. The accusatory your over reacting kind of person

C. The denying there's a problem kind of person.

Please answer this poll keeping in mind the ongoing discussion all over the place about FUKUSHIMA and how bad it is or is not

6. But now you're just splitting the votes
Right now, there are 3 votes, one for each of A, B, and C.

7. They are all bad
but if the question is which is generally the worst it would be C? One might conceivably save lives in some situations with A even though often there would be death and destruction from panic as well as encumbrances to life saving measures or even event exploitation. B straddles the middle and could be beneficial in avoiding panic results and allowing at least tougher measures behind the scenes In actuality though B usually suppresses the needed measures as part of the consistent denial. It often has to do with the money motive and accountability avoidance.

C however seals the deal most often with simply defying panic(until people DO lose faith) while definitely suppressing appropriate action, expense and accountability. This hardcore puts the disaster second to the status quo even if the status quo has vanished completely.

The logic is open to dispute and documentation. Sadly we have a lot of the latter to analyze if anyone would like to.

Example?:In climate change the "sky is falling" end of the spectrum seems closest to reality and the most unlikely to move the population to action much less panic. Disappearing islands for example will go down without a ripple on the world scene.
The B character on this issue would generally be the Dem party stance on moderate measures moderately "fought" for. C is the GOP and their murderously simple-minded corporate overlords.

8. Voted C, but there could be a D answer, too.....
D: Claims to be a denier, but has skin in the game, so plays the denial card to prolong the debate to pad his profits while the problem worsens.

I think there is wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay too much power in that group.
