Superfast Karma - man struck by bus after stealing tip jar

A man was struck by a Metro bus just moments after stealing a donation jar, according to police.

Investigators said the man stole the jar from a business in the 800 block of Third Ave. just after noon Thursday. As he ran across Third, he was struck by a southbound Metro bus. The bus driver said he tried to stop, but could not avoid the man.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. His name and condition were not known.

The bus driver has not been cited, and the investigation is ongoing.

Perfect example of karma catching up with this person. Especially not a smart move in that part of downtown Seattle. Lots of Sound Transit buses run down 3rd Ave during the weekday.
