He's carrying on to no end about how Newt has done himself in

He made me laugh with his reading of Gingrich's spokesperson's writing from the other day.

5. I think this is the sort of stuff that went on
back when the Federalist Party and the Whig Party self destructed. They just overstepped with highly unpopular dogma they'd always secretly held and turned on the moderates who'd been able to fool the public successfully enough to get elected from time to time. They didn't have the dubious benefit of fast communications, so I imagine most people were a little puzzled as to why the parties dissolved so quickly.

The Federalist Party did basically what the GOP is doing today, pursuing the agenda of a few very rich men to the detriment of the country as a whole. The Whigs were ripped apart by the Abolitionists who eventually formed the core of the nascent Republican Party.

The way the GOP is going, I can't see it lasting much longer as a national party, only as a state party in either states where they believe their nonsense or are able to dig up a few of the moderates left in that party.

I won't weep for them when they go, but I know they'll be back: new name, same wretchedly bad dogma and leadership.

7. I think the Republicans are wildly grabbing onto
something, anything that can drown out Obama's achievements - but all they do is drown themselves. It is hilarious.
