We need an app we can add to our cell phones that will cut the time to access the photo option on our phones, and will send the picture immediately to an internet site. This wouldn't be for regular photos. This would be to photograph muggers or other people who are about to commit a crime.

Got the idea from Formercia who said that just by taking his cellphone out he stopped a potential attack. I figured, if the muggers knew how pointless it was to commit a crime because their mugs will be sent to the police department in a matter of seconds, it would prevent crime.

I suggest a name like "Freeze" for the app.

5. Good idea, but I'm not sure it would work. . . the reason it takes so long to switch to the
photo "option" is because it's actually loading photo software.

That will always be limited by the speed of the CPU in the phone, memory bandwidth, etc.

It's not as if the camera and the phone are two different pieces of hardware that you just flip a switch to go back and forth.

I like the idea, just not sure it would be doable.

9. Unless the service charges a high price per photo for the service?
Think of ADT monitoring an alarm. Maybe the photo should get screened before being sent off to the police?

10. You are making us all Big Brother
No one even able to pull up their pantyhose or pick their nose without getting caught by someone "watching..." That's kinda scary.

11. As long as big brother is already watching us, I would like some
ability to fight back. Keep in mind that the person who uses this service frivolously should be penalized with increased penalty fees.

12. But you've unleashed a nation of snoops and we'll all be looking over our shoulders
The Bush administration tried to implement Total Information Awareness and asked citizens to spy on neighbors and send in TIPS. That program bombed and was scrapped because it was CREEPY.

Have you ever lived in a corrupt small town? How do you think the status quo maintains itself?

Develop rapport, then mislead.
