So when do we declare war?

On natural disasters that are wrecking this country? Minneapolis, Joplin, Tuscaloosa....how many more American cities are we going to lose while we're spending trillions fighting unfathomable wars and unknowable enemies halfway around the globe? When are Republicans going to join Democrats in understanding that climate change is happening, our infrastructure is crumbling, and our ability to recover is made impossible because we can't fund our country properly? We have a Global War on Terror that burns billions for no value except supporting Big Oil's bottom line. We have War on Drugs that protects criminal profits and provides a growth industry for the prosecution / incarceration industries.

So when are we going to get serious and declare war on the biggest real physical threat this country faces - a changing environment that is creating larger and more deadly natural catastrophes? When will Democrats say enough and offer up a comprehensive plan to re-prioritize spending and drive fundamental changes that put the American people first?
