What's wrong with this picture?

Sorry, this is too way off course. It's bad enough the Republican distraction over the deficit bait was taken by the Administration, but now this out of nowhere?

2. we're going to be strung along, because it's believed that we have *nowhere else to go*
Why bother helping votes you already think are locked up? Let's start re-building the John Wayne America image, and travel to exotic places while our party does the backroom deals required to keep the government going.

4. False dichotomy.
Human rights at home and human rights abroad are both important.

as the Palestinians under occupation. Maybe Native Americans who live on reserves, but somehow, I doubt you meant that either.

Does life become less valuable when people don't look like you or speak your language? Gross.

I'm in no way saying helping people at home isn't important either, but government is actually capable of doing multiple things.

13. You have completely misstated the OP for your own intentions
And you are accusing me of racism by simply reading what you want into the OP

Goodbye,

I do not suffer hijackers well.

15. Like my edit said, government can do many things.
You still haven't given any reason for your false dichotomy.

16. The purpose of a democratically elected government is to reflect the will of the People
who elected them, not to decide who "deserves" attention the most. This is definitional.

18. My agenda is trying to make sense of this OP. Was there a
time in the history of the U.S. where we stopped all foreign policy because of conditions at home? Should we shut down the State Department until unemployment reaches a certain percentage? Instead of attacking posters for questioning your OP, why not explain what the hell you're talking about.
