diner owner thrilled to be on fox news and all he had to do was make a vaguely racist sign
You see, he refuses to serve people who don’t speak English! But nothing to do with race, he says. :eyes:

“It’s really good to have you!” (Fox News’ Martha MacCallum)

“When the news broke last March, (business) tripled and I’ve spoken to a lot of people I would never think to be speaking with such as yourself, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck. And I’ve gotten a lot of letters of support. I was contacted by an organization known as Pro English. Basically, if I had any civil or criminal charges brought against me, they would represent me pro bono.”

People have even suggested he start marketing and selling the signs so that fans of the diner and the English language could hang them up at their businesses. “Or maybe even at home!” MacCallum suggested helpfully.

1. "Pro bono?" Does that mean "for free?"
Why don't you speak English, Moron?

3. I remember when Geno of Philly's Geno's Steaks pulled this stunt.
It got lots of press. Also sent loads of people across the street.

7. Here is the funniest thing about Geno's on this ....
I grew up in Philly and have been to Geno's many times.

And if you wanted the BEST SERVICE EVER .... all you had to do was SPEAK ITALIAN!!!!

I kid you not. In South Philly during the 70s, 80s, 90s, ... it was a badge of honor to speak Italian. In fact, it was a TEST of how Italian you were.

Most of the South Philly Italian guys I knew had a grandmother living with them who spoke nothing BUT Italian.

And then suddenly, Geno wants everyone to speak English. What a F*****G clown.

I'm pretty sure that to this day, if you go to Geno's, and order in Italian, you will be treated like a long lost relative!!!

12. That doesn't suprise me. I think we all know what language Geno does and does not find acceptable.
So has this policy led you to go over to Pats?

10. "Or maybe even at home!"
Huh?

Is there a chance that you have someone living at home who doesn't speak English, if you're the type to buy a sign like this?

13. lol
I can see that as an ad campaign.

"Does your child hang around with the wrong sort (wink)? Are his friends a little new to this country? Then get the "We Only Serve Amurkin' Speekers" sign for your house today!"
