In the NY 26, it was not the Tea Party candidate that caused the GOP to lose.
Examine the numbers from the 2010 election. Then, examine the numbers for tonight. If you have more than a 4th grade education, you will be able to understand it wasn't the Tea Party candidate's fault. It was the policy of the GOP that caused the GOP to lose the seat. But do us all a favor. Blame the tea party candidate, and continue with your policys. Ill be sure to thank you all in 2012.

1. This area is quite hostile to anyone with a "D" in front of their name. |
|
This is a MASSIVE WIN! A single vote victory would be big, this is going to be more than that.

3. This bodes well for 2012, even with redrawn districts. |

The right message can win. Hochul was swamped with millions in false advertising and still prevailed.

10. That may change as more of those GOP-loving elderly voters realize how eager the GOP is |
|
to gut the safety net on which they mightily and critically depend (and which ALL of us need).

11. they were willing to throw their children under the bus so the elders |
|
stepped up and protected them. The parents protected their children. No other reason this worked.

4. He only took a few points away in an EXTREMELY RepubliCON district. |
|
Simply not true. Backing the Ryan Budget train wreck is what did in the RepubliCON, and what will do all of them, come 2012.

force your members to vote on a bill as controversial as the Ryan plan, knowing it had no chance of passing the Senate or being signed by the POTUS. What a bonehead (pun intended)decision.
