Met (Scotland Yard) turns on its staff over phone hacking (by Rupert Murdoch's papers)

Recriminations have begun inside Scotland Yard after criticism of the force's performance over the News of the World phone hacking scandal. With only two NoW employees convicted of intercepting voicemail messages five years ago, the force is increasingly under attack for failing to probe more deeply in its initial investigations.

In other words: Rupert Murdoch paid dirty police to cover up the phone hacking and now Scotland Yard is starting to turn on itself. Once the dirty police are out of the picture we might see huge revelations on this case!

1. a slow burner...methinks the Establishment has finally gotten just
a little over Murdoch and the power he wields and in true classic British tradition has decided he must be culled.

4. Well, he jumped ship on the political party AND was hacking his political appointees
they know he has no allegiance but to himself and his right wing politics now.
