Teen boot camp in Utah.

I'm not sure if this is a true story or not, it was linked to me in another forum and I've never heard of the site I was linked to, but I thought I'd share this with you all. The way our society is it really wouldn't surprise me if something this terrible is real. This place should be outlawed, basically it is a camp in Utah where a gay teen was sent after being kidnapped out of her house at 2:30 in the morning, her parents should be in prison right now. I also would have called the police as soon as I left and had my parents arrested. I don't care what her mother's reason was, any parent who treats their child like that deserves to be locked in prison or a hospital one, because there is clearly something wrong with them.

6. You would not have gotten far

Courts have ruled that the paperwork WWASPS gets the parents to sign gives them the right to kidnap you if you are under 18, and you do not have legal standing to sue your parents for doing it to you. I would say the relatively low number of WWASPS employees and parents shot dead by the children they did this to is a testament to the efficacy of the brainwashing.

8. Regardless of what the law may say on this matter it is still wrong.

The parents have no right to let their children be kidnapped anymore than they have a right to sell their children into slavery. Just because you are under 18 does not mean you are not a person and you deserve the same rights as everyone else.

It's plainly illegal. A parent cannot grant the right for their child to be forcibly kidnapped.

5. It really is scary and could lead to something very dangerous.

Hell, I have a souvenir knife I bought from a store in the mall. I don't carry it anywhere, I just like the way it looks. However, if someone busted into my room in the middle of the night I'd probably try and stab them with it. It's a very sharp knife. I'm not saying I'd feel good about it, but self-defense is self-defense and am I just supposed to let someone kidnap me?

7. Au contraire, it's plainly legal

it's been upheld multiple times in court. If you are under 18 your parents have the power to do a lot of evil shit to you; look at the poor girl who was returned to Westboro Baptist Church after running away, according to her younger brother who bided his time before escaping. WWASPS markets themselves to scared parents who don't know what the fuck they are doing as a kind of final social solution. If you are the kid your only hope is absolute defiance and a willingness to put up with a whole lot of pain for a long time, because otherwise you are going to come out of their program like the POW's who were guests of the Viet Cong.
