I posted it to help the lurking freepigs and hopefully help others, who hide behind the bible, see what they're buying into. Take a chill pill.

27. I appreciate the post. I live in Arkansas, and having quick facts like these.. |

Can help in a rapid-fire argument.
I've given up trying to fight with the religious fundies, so I like to show them that the politicians they support are about as far from Jesus Christ as one can get.

the "free" market.
which, ironically, would not be so "free" if they got their way, considering the fact that an unregulated market tends toward monopolies.

But that sounds like they see 'faith' as a crutch.
That can be the thoughts of those that see existence as despair, then from that perspective believe people of faith are in delusion by weakness.
It is also possible existence is not despair, and through knowing that, a person finds the supernatural in a way that can help many people, but if you are in despair you never see it.
I am due beer and travel money, and that needs to be sent. And I am not talking of the metaphor, although justice and compassion is really important, and I appreciate all the people that add to justice and compassion many who have helped me also. I am talking about balance, and how there is an actual due of beer and travel money, literally.

15. She also said that there are no contradictions, so when encountering one, examine one's premise |
|
So she was right on a couple of things; her worldview simply doesn't work for the human being, and it's ugly.

in any case, I think it can be argued that the majority of humans are psychologically weak whether they use religion as a crutch or something else.

20. Well, many or most religions today teach total or near-total obedience to authority. |
|
That is dangerous.
She’s wrong though. If anything, religions exploit psychological weaknesses that already exist — but they are not alone in doing this.
