I'm probably least enamored of the "let's tell people what to post and where to post it" crowd on DU, mainly for the fact that I also see a lot of horseshit I'd rather not see, but the difference between me and the "do this, don't do that, move it over here, DUPE, LINK???" people is that I let other people do what they want because, in the long run, it is none of my motherfucking business what they do.

The best solution for anyone who doesn't like what's done here is to get their own fucking Website. Then they can control 100% of EVERYTHING.

But that's just me. I wouldn't want to tell people what to do or where to do it, even though I am replying to a thread advocating telling people what to do and where to do it.

How about THIS:

Since the Mods have their responsibilities and the Admins have theirs, and the Mods do not have the responsibility of creating new forums, maybe you or one of your delegates could post a question in the Ask The Admins forum requesting either a Palin or Free Republic / Red State / whatever forum.

Because that shit...whether you care to read about it or not...is part of the political discussion, and this is a Website that's basically built on political discussion.

We piss and moan and point the finger at "brownshirts" who bury their nose in the anus of Fox News and then we replicate the same behavior here.

Maybe bringing this to the Admins and letting them have final say on it would stop the grade school bullshit.

If they say "YES" and decide that any right-wing posts belong in a specific forum, great. And tough fucking shit to anyone who doesn't like it.

and take every opportunity to take issue with those who suggest that we in any way do anything to lessen Palin's visibility.

Voters need to be reminded, again and again and again, that this shallow, vindictive, narrow-minded hyper-religious zealot was the Republican choice to be vice president of the United States. They need to be constantly reminded that, had the GOP had its way in 2008, this con-artist quitter would now be vice president or even president of the United States. The further down in the polls she goes, the more clearly people see her for the self-serving sociopath she is, the more we need to stick it to the Republicans that THIS is their idea of presidential. Simply put: if the thought of a President Palin doesn't destroy whatever faith the American people might have had in the GOP, nothing will.
