You do not need to be told what is wrong in this country. We can all see what is happening from our vastly diverse perspectives. All you need to know to participate is that your government is not effectively representing your best interests or mine.
RiseTogether was born out of the realization that we can’t talk a problem to death, we have to act and act boldly. It is time to stop asking questions and start taking action. A NATIONAL DAY of PROTEST is a huge undertaking, but thanks to social networking we have a level of access to people that is unprecedented in the history of the world. RiseTogether is the epitome of a “grassroots” movement, one that can ally with other like-minded progressive organizations for the betterment of our country.
All that is required is honesty, civility and a burning desire to make our nation a better place for the next generation (along with the willingness to ACT, to help organize the protest where you already are).
