http://smirkingchimp.com/thread/laura-harrison-mcbride/36531/how-do-you-spell-america-gullible-r-usRemember the hoax in which a six-year-old boy supposedly went aloft in a spaceship? The boy’s parents were eventually, as they say in England, done for the deception. As I recall―and this barf isn’t really worth research―the parents were enjoined to keep their child-rearing noses clean one way or another. Apparently, their punishment has ended, and they are back to their scurrilous ways.
Today, they have offered up the “spaceship” for a cool 1 million bucks to anyone who buys it before the upcoming auction, at which the reserve price is a mere five grand. Gosh, maybe I should buy it and sock it away to resell for my retirement, at which point it might be worth 22 cents.
Which is what that execrable family of shysters and confidence people is worth. No, not even that. (I fear to use the term confidence men, since apparently there are those who make it their politically correct life’s work to take to task those of us whose every thought is not consistent with what they believe political correctness―or knee-jerk unexamined liberalism, take your pick―is all about. But I digress….)
What in the world is the matter with America?
