Mitt Romney's Campaign - Some Vocabulary Help |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-02-11 01:22 PM by FSogol
With "Stiff" Mitt entering the race, we'll need to develop a whole new vocabulary to describe the spins, flip-flops, and position reversals to describe how he panders to whomever is around him. Why create spend time creating new vocabulary when the world of Figure Skating already has some great terms? Feel free to use these to describe all of Mitt's change of positions.
Backflip Biellmann spin Bracket turn Butterfly jump Camel spin Cherry-flip Choctaw turn Counter turn Death spiral Edge jump Flying spin I-spin Layback spin Overrotated Pair spin Pancake spin Rocker turn Shotgun spin Triple-Reversal Upright spin Y-spin
Bonus: I made one term up. Can you tell which one?

1. I'm voting for "death spiral" being the made up one |
|
But I love "triple reversal." I plan to use the term often!

3. Nope, but Mitt's campaign will enter one in a month or 2 tops. |

Death-Spiral: An element in pair skating in which the woman skates on a deep edge with her body close to the ice and skates in a circle around the man, who is in a low pivot position and holding her by the arm.
