House Democrats meet with the President today... |
|
Oh, to be a fly on the wall....
What advice will they give him?
Or will he tell them what he wants them to do about the debt limit vote and the Medicare cuts?
Will the progressives agree to dance to the same tune?
I suspect the President may get an ear full today? A big ear full.
He is treading on shaky ground, as far as the base of the Party is concerned. They are not ready for more compromise with the extortionist Republicans. They want to see more fight from this President.
It will be interesting to see what comes out of this meeting. I am hoping for the best but I will not hold my breath. I haven't the slightest idea where they stand?

1. Why is he meeting with that fringe group of radical nutjobs? |

If I were a fly on the wall, I see Obama telling the House Democrats, Zach Mayo-style, "You got nowhere else to go! Bwahahahahaha!" Because here comes the program, endorsed by the co-chairs Catfood Commission (which blew its deadline and never issued a final report), that cuts are coming in Social Security benefits (future beneficiaries only - Obama knows well enough not to screw with current recipients), Medicare is going south, and no, there won't be anything available for the lower income chumps, because Charlie Sheen and Paris Hilton can't possibly afford an additional three cents in taxes on the dollars they "earn" above $250,000.
