"No president has ever been reelected with 9% unemployment."
And no President had ever been elected while black, either.

No Senator had been elected President since 1960.

No President in modern history has masterminded the successful elimination of the US' number one enemy.

And most importantly, no president has ever had to run for reelection against the psychotic clown brigade that is the Republican 2012 hopefuls.

Oh yeah... and we don't know what unemployment is going to be this time next year.

they will need to have 35:1 .....more women.

It's why so many fundie mormon towns expell naughty boys...it's an excuse to cull the competition.

13. Elizabeth Warren?
Someone far to the left of Hillary,
though I could see Oprah doing it,
or Caroline Kennedy,
or maybe Maria Shriver,
all of whom are far to the left
of either Ferraro or Hillary.

17. Frankly, I can't see any of the ones on your list as Prez
Except Hillary, whom I supported in the 08 primaries.

I haven't seen enough of Warren to judge whether she is more than a single issue expert.

31. Hillary
She made the machinery that pulled the dems to the right, and if in 2008 she said she would tear it down, I might have supported her, but to be honest, her campaign showed she was going to play right wing and let Bill run amok, which is why she lost.

I personally like Caroline Kennedy, but she would need some experience first. The others are non-starters.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, on the other hand...

29. harder
for what?

War with Iran?
Nafta?
H1b visas?

It's one thing to say Hillary is skilled, but to say she if left of Obama makes no sense, she would fight to push the party to the center, as she always has, the reason many of us are angry at Obama is because he became juts like the clintons!

2. And we don't know what sort of federal work program or
economic stimulus that Obama will promote and the Democrats will push for -- and the Rethugs will work to stop. I hope, if levels remain high, they all go on record opposing a work program months before the election.

37. I don't see the dems pushing for anything. If you ask me the dem status quo needs to go and be
replaced with a new generation of dems with good ideas re fixing the economy who actually have the courage to do something for regular people instead of their donors.

This economy is genuinely the worst in my lifetime, which is well over 50 years.

There are many 'if onlys'. Corporations should be made to manufacture HERE at home.

Doesn't stop some people from loudly bemoaning the extension of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, though.
