Anyone see Melissa Harris-Perry on Maher's show?
I love this woman. I love her column in The Nation and all her appearances. She is just like Eugene Robinson in the way that these two people can always writer or say something that makes you go, "Hm, I never thought of it that way."

Not only this, wow, she is also one beautiful woman, too.

1. Agreed, she was excellent.
But you're right, she always is. She's usually the smartest person in the room. :)

2. Bill called her "girl". She corrected him.
She said "Grown woman".

Bill needs to be taken down a notch sometimes from what I have read.

Hi Heidi :hi: I don't see you here much anymore. I hope all is well in your world. Early on in my time here you always made me feel like I was home. You never let my poor penmanship get in the way and for that I thank you.

Have a great day.

8. I think people who actually study history have a tendency to be able to
look at the big picture and policy currently and how it will shape the future. Many of us want instant fixes. However, it takes years for changes to occur. It took a long time to get the Civil Rights after slavery had ended. It took a long time for women to gain a foothold in having any rights.. property, ownership, and voting. I think that's why her answers and thought processes are insightful. She is not knee-jerk reacting. She's evaluting the situation with a historical contextual eye. AND yes, she is super intelligent. I would love to sit in her classroom and soak up her knowledge.

9. Is she who was on KO quite frequently?
As Melissa Harris-Lacewell. I'm thinking she is and if so I agree with you 100%. I think I remember her saying on KO that she was to be getting married. If this is the same person she indeed is one of the best spokes person we have on our side.

16 more days until countdown with Keith Olbermann is back on the air.
I've got what us old Navy dudes called a countdown stick counting down the days until he is back.

18. Did you even read my OP in it's entirety?
Yes, she is a very charismatic, charming and lovely woman, but as I typed in the OP, she is also one of those unique persons, like Frank Rich and Eugene Robinson, that has the ability to almost always make one think of things in a different way.

In addition to all of these, this woman can also be very funny when need be and serious when the environment (her Nation pieces) calls for that.

I love smart women like Melissa and Rachel.

Plus they are both full of humor. and know their facts.

I saw this last night and Melissa Harris-Perry is getting me interested in signing up for The Nation.

Took Rick Lazio's talking points and shoved them back in his face. I wish we had 40 more people with her skills.

26. She was very good. So damn smart
but she talks in a way that is understandable. She doesn't "flower up" her language.
