1. That's just got to be
one of the happiest things I've ever read here on DU.

Thank you for making me smile. :hi:

2. you're welcome! I just forwarded it to our Congressman, who's been fightiing foreclosures.
Bob Filner even led a candlelight vigil to stop a bank from foreclosing wrongfully on the home of a woman with a disabled son. Hope this gives him another tool for going after these scumbag banks!

3. How inept are these guys?
What sort of insanely flawed record-keeping would lead them to believe they had a mortgage on an unmortgaged house?

4. If more people did this, perhaps they would cease and desist
in their malfeasance.

5. i, personally, love
it when a big business gets zapped with a lien and the sheriff does his thing.

there is a whole lot of steppin' and fetchin' when the judgment is enforced.

7. This reminds me of the time a labor union stiffed my husband for payment....
He'd done some work against them and new management decided not to honor bills incurred by old management, including several thousand dollars he was owed. So my hubby went to court, got a judgment, and filed a lien. Next day he had a marshal tack a notice on the door stating the union hall would be sold at auction to satisfy the judgment.

They Fed-Expressed him his full payment the next day!
