Protesters continue to dance in Jefferson Memorial
Source: Raw Story
By Eric W. Dolan

Dozens of people gathered at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C at noon Saturday and danced for nearly fifteen minutes before police officers broke up the event.

The protest came a week after five dancing demonstrators were violently arrested by U.S. Park Police Officers at the Jefferson Memorial. The Associated Press reported that instead of making arrests, this time officers pushed the demonstrators out of the memorial and briefly closed it to tourists.

The dancing demonstrators are protesting against a recent court ruling, which held that the National Park Service was acting lawfully in 2008 when officers shut down a “flashmob” and arrested a woman who was “expressively dancing” inside the Jefferson Memorial.

The dancing demonstrations are organized in part by Adam Kokesh, an Iraq War veteran and host of Adam vs. The Man (AVTM) on Russia Today.

4. I think these folks are obnoxious and annoying...it's no surprise that code pink is involved
What are they protesting? Is there a law passed that outlaws dancing? What is their message?

10. yes, with all the other shit going on, dancing is a good idea
and freedom is lost in tiny increments. You may find them annoying, but so what? (no offense) -- what contribution is annoyance, with all the other shit going on?

11. Because code pink, much like PETA, does it more for the attention....
Unlike PETA code pink doesn't make their goals clear.

12. I believe this was primarily organized by Adam Kokesh.
I'm not crazy about the Code Pink approach.

But you can't really know another person's motives, it's only speculation.

14. Absolutely. If they get away with banning dancing at the Jefferson Memorial
then next opponents of Obama will be arrested and incarcerated in concentration camps.

This is important. Very important.

13. I like to dance at memorials to dead people two or three times a week
so I applaud this epic civil rights struggle.

Who will be the Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks of the cause of dancing at memorials to dead people?
